Dongshan Peach Garden • Xiong Xiaomi Theme Park is located within the Rural Revitalization Industry Demonstration Park. As the leading project of the local rural revitalization experience center, it covers an area of 2 square kilometers, connecting scenic spots, communities, and industrial resources such as Dongshan Peach Garden Scenic Area, Zhongbaoxi Village Peach Demonstration Park, Tianyi Mountain Villa, and Mengding Training School, forming a multi-industry complex including food, accommodation, education, culture, and production, and jointly constructing the demonstration pilot area of the ‘Huchen Township Light Point Cluster Rural Revitalization Plan’.
Over a decade ago, this area was barren land. Not far from here used to be a feed factory. Since 2003, Zhongbaoxi has actively responded to the ‘Thousand Village Demonstration, Ten Thousand Village Rectification’ initiative, beginning to introduce a large number of peach varieties from Fenghua Peach Research Institute. With the passage of time and the popularity effect of events like ‘Peach Blossom Festival’ and ‘Peach Festival’, Zhongbaoxi Village has demolished places like the feed factory and built leisure facilities such as a swing park, viewing platforms, and amusement parks in the surrounding area. From planting the first peach tree to owning a peach forest of tens of thousands of acres, the annual sales of peaches have exceeded 100 million yuan, and the comprehensive tourism revenue has exceeded 78 million yuan, becoming a rural park that integrates agriculture and tourism, and coordinates development. These 11 exhibition boards depict the ‘past life’ of Huchen, from initially ‘selling peaches’ and ‘selling peach blossoms’ to ‘selling ecology’, and how to grow the leisure industry bigger and transform ‘green mountains and clear waters into mountains of gold and silver’.
In October 2016, this place was successfully rated as a national 3A-level tourist attraction, becoming a shining ‘golden business card’ for Huchen rural tourism. The entire text is open all year round from 09:00 to 17:00.
