Dongshi Hakka Cultural Park is located in Dongshi District, Taichung City, and was repurposed from the old Dongshi Train Station
Initially, it was primarily involved in the transportation of timber from the Da Xueshan Mountains, but it fell into disuse after the railway ceased operations

With the rise of Hakka ethnic consciousness, it was redeveloped into a Hakka cultural park
The park mainly showcases the early industries, language, and cultural characteristics of the Hakka people, and through the display of artifacts in the museum, such as wedding customs, clothing culture, and Hakka music, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the traditional culture and spirit of the local Hakka people
The park is open all year round, Tuesday to Sunday, from 9:00 to 17:00
