The Dragon and Tiger Pagoda is located beside the Lotus Pond in Zuoying District, Kaohsiung City, and was constructed in 1976, named for the dragon and tiger sculptures on the tower
The pagoda features a dragon’s throat as the entrance and a tiger’s mouth as the exit, symbolizing the transformation of danger into safety
The architectural style of the Dragon and Tiger Pagoda is reminiscent of the Tang and Song dynasties, with a brick and stone structure, a seven-story pavilion style, and a height of over thirty meters
Each side of the tower is engraved with flame-like patterns, making the exterior vivid and bright, while the interior features unique relief sculptures
Inside the Dragon Tower, there are illustrations of the twenty-four filial sons from Chinese tradition
Open all year round from 8:00 to 18:00, the pagoda offers accessible services including accessible parking and accessible entrances
