In front of the mountain gate of Dafo Temple, there is a vast area that has been leveled and landscaped in recent years, with the cultivation of flowers and plants, resulting in the construction of the over 5,000 square meters Fo Xin Square. The square is primarily composed of an enlarged ‘Buddha’ character, carved from the cliff, which is a replication of the handwriting of Master Hong Yi, and a massive ‘Heart’ character on the flat ground beneath the cliff. The bright red ‘Buddha’ character stands at 20 meters tall, reaching for the sky and making a spectacular sight.

At the front of the square, there is an oval-shaped large screen wall, adjacent to which is a lotus pond with a diameter of 10 meters. Each petal of the lotus flowers in the pond is crafted from white marble, and within the lotus seed pod, there is a spring that flows continuously, symbolizing the long-standing Buddhist culture of Xinchang.
