The Former British Consulate is located within the campus of Beihai No.1 Middle School, built in 1885. It is a two-story, rectangular Western-style building, measuring 47.2 meters in length and 12 meters in width, covering an area of 566.4 square meters. This building is a representative of modern architecture in Beihai and a rare base for patriotic education. With the approval of the National Cultural Heritage Administration, from October 2nd to 3rd, 1999, the Beihai city successfully moved the Former British Consulate 55.8 meters to the northeast.
The site is open all year round, Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 12:00 and 14:30 to 16:30; it is closed all day on Mondays. The specific business status is subject to the daily opening situation.
