The Former Residence of Chen Lanbin, constructed in the first year of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, is located in Huangpo Village, Huangpo Town, Wuchuan City, Guangdong Province. It is a two-entrance brick and wood Siheyuan (courtyard) style structure.
Due to its historical significance as the place where Chen Lanbin received officials and guests, it is locally referred to as the ‘Official Hall’.
Visitors can come to learn about the deeds of Chen Lanbin, and a bronze statue of Chen Lanbin meeting President Rutherford B. Hayes at the White House in the United States stands in front of the courtyard square of the former residence. The opening hours and business status are subject to the daily opening conditions.
