Gangpanshan Mountain is located at the western end of Xiangshan Port in Fenghua City, Zhejiang Province. It is a relatively large island along the coast of Qiu Village Town. With an altitude of 193 meters and an area of 2.74 square kilometers. The coastline is 15.1 kilometers long. The island is rich in forests, mainly consisting of coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests such as pine trees and camphor trees. There is a freshwater reservoir on the east side of Gangpanshan Mountain. It was used for irrigation when rice fields were planted near the island before. Later, it was abandoned as farmland was converted into seawater aquaculture farms. Now it is in a natural state without special utilization. The water is clear and covers an area of about 20 mu. There are 13 islands and reefs of different sizes distributed around Gangpanshan Mountain, with a total area of 6079 mu. The beach area is 2621 mu. A lake in the sea with an area of about 5000 mu is formed between the island and the coast. The bay is calm. The island has unique marine erosion features and mountain-sea scenery. There are many primitive natural landscapes around Gangpanshan Mountain, such as Eagle Beak Rock, Tianda Rock, Empress Temple, Horseshoe Mountain Spit, Embroidered Slippers, Yuelin Village, and Little Western Paradise. They are not only distinctive but also contain many moving myths and legends. As Gangpanshan Mountain is an island with a relatively large altitude among many islands, and the front is the estuary of the seaport with an endless view.
