General Chen Mingren’s Former Residence is located in Xinghua Road, Chikang District, Zhanjiang City, covering an area of 1420 square meters and a construction area of 1110 square meters. It consists of two two-story Western-style buildings, numbered 1 and 2, with a brick-concrete structure.
Chen Mingren (1903-1974), a native of Liling, Hunan Province, was a student of the first class of the Whampoa Military Academy. He was a renowned Chinese general and military strategist who made significant contributions to the nation and its people during the Northern Expedition, the Eastern Expedition, the Anti-Japanese War, and the Liberation War.
