The Ningbo Geological Treasure Museum is located in the higher education park and adjacent to the University of Nottingham and Ningbo Gymnasium. It is a cultural and artistic exhibition hall integrating knowledge, science and ornamental value.

The museum houses more than 2,500 exhibits of more than 200 varieties, including fluorite, meteorite, fossil, stalactite, malachite, painted pottery stone, olivine, luminous stone, and mineral crystal. The relatively high calcium carbonate mineral calcite is more than 2 meters high. The heavier Guangxi Dahua multicolored jade weighs about 3 tons. The smaller Xinjiang Gobi agate stone is only the size of broad bean grains.
