This is a European-style building with red exterior walls, white columns and window frames, presenting an elegant appearance. The Government House was once the official residence of the governor of Macau. It is also called the Governor’s Residence in Bamboo Chamber, or Saint Sanze Palace, or the residence of the governor of Macau. After Macau’s return to the motherland, it is used as the Government House. Whenever national leaders or foreign heads of state visit Macau, the chief executive will meet them at the Government House. The specific business hours and opening status are subject to the actual opening situation on that day.
