Grand Pavilion

Located at the eastern corner of the South Heavenly Gate, the Grand Pavilion was built by the abbot Chaoyin of Puji Temple during the mid-Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1690-1698).

In 1985, it was returned to the Buddhist Association, and in 1996, the Yuantong Bao Hall and other structures were reconstructed on the original site.


The hall houses a white marble statue of Guanyin holding a lotus, with Lion Rock to the right, which features numerous Qing Dynasty cliff inscriptions.


There are currently 12 halls with a total construction area of 349 square meters.
