Guanliao鼻 Park

Guanliao鼻 Park is located at the southern tip of Taiwan
Due to the strong coastal sunlight and clear seawater, it is suitable for the growth of reef-building corals

The park has risen due to crustal uplift and has been shaped by wave erosion, rainwater runoff, and strong winds, resulting in the current landscape of towering reefs, grotesque rocks, peculiar peaks, and caves
The park’s trails crisscross like a labyrinth, with attractions such as Hero Stone, Canghai Pavilion, You Yicun, Qiu Rong, You Valley, and Yingbin Pavilion, each captivating in its own right
Looking north from the park, one can see a panoramic view of blue skies and green waters, interspersed with white sand, rugged reefs, and sharp peaks of the terraces
In addition, there stands the towering Qiong Ma Hua Axis, interspersed among them, forming a magnificent and varied landscape of mountains and seas
Every year in September (around the lunar calendar’s White Dew), a large number of Red-tailed Shrikes from Siberia and mainland China pass through, creating a spectacular scene worth waiting for
The most famous feature within the park is the Guanliao鼻 Lighthouse
This armed lighthouse, with a history of over a hundred years, is known for its powerful light, dubbed the ‘Light of East Asia’
The pure white lighthouse stands out against the blue sky and green grass, a pleasing sight to the eye
Adjacent to the lighthouse, there is a memorial stone inscribed with ‘Eight Scenic Spots of Taiwan’, serving as a photo spot for tourists
On the northwest side of the Guanliao鼻 Lighthouse, scholars have discovered prehistoric sites of the Xian Tao culture dating back 5,000 years, which are also worth visiting
The park is open all year round from 06:30 to 18:30
