This arch was constructed in honor of Huang’s filial piety and chastity. Born in the 25th year of the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty (1880), Huang passed away in the 19th year of the Guangxu era (1893), at the age of 74. At the age of six, she was married to the scholar Wang Jialin. At the age of twenty-eight, she became a widow and served her parents-in-law and raised her children with utmost filial devotion for forty-six years. The arch is open all year round, with full-day access. The specific business status is subject to the daily opening conditions.
