Hulong Temple, formerly known as ‘Baofeng Academy’, was established by the renowned scholar Zhao Xie during the Yuan Dynasty. It is located in a place called Aojin Tan, on the outskirts of Cicheng Town, surrounded by green mountains on three sides. From a distance, the temple appears to be seated securely on a master’s chair.
Hulong Temple has a long history. With the support of local authorities in 1998, the restoration project began on the west side of the original site. The main hall was constructed first, followed by the auxiliary rooms and other structures, gradually taking shape. Now, the temple’s bells and drums resonate once again, reviving its spiritual legacy and becoming a scenic spot.
