The Jiashan Jiudetang Museum (also known as Keyuan) is a small museum mainly dedicated to collecting, researching and exhibiting ancient jades. It is located in the traditional style protection area of Xitang Ancient Town, Jiashan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province.
The main design feature of the Jiudetang Museum is to adopt the layout and form of a classical Jiangnan garden. The museum building and garden landscape are designed and constructed in an integrated way. The architectural design of the museum divides the museum building into small parts. Multiple small buildings are freely arranged around the landscape, and are connected as a whole through corridors and scenic walls, organically integrating with the garden landscape. The entire museum presents as an ‘authentic’ traditional Jiangnan garden.
