The ‘Light Tower’ is situated in Sanmin No
1 Park, at the intersection of Tongmeng Road and Zili Road in Sanmin District
It is a Taiwan Power Company high-voltage transmission tower that stands beside a residential community
To enhance the aesthetic appeal of the neighborhood and integrate the tower into the community, the concept of resource recycling was applied to transform the tower into a unique public artwork
This has given the tower a new lease on life and turned it into a distinctive landmark in Sanmin District as well as an important leisure spot for local residents
Standing approximately 40 meters tall, the ‘Light Tower’ is painted in colors that follow the spectrum of a rainbow, from red to orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, creating a strong artistic atmosphere around it, day and night
Visitors can ascend the spiral staircase to an observation deck to enjoy the beautiful views of the Ai River
The railings are equipped with explanatory signs from Taiwan Power Company, detailing the company’s past, present, and future policies, making this place a multifunctional leisure and educational site that combines sightseeing, recreation, and education
It is open all year round, 24 hours a day
