The Linmei Shipan Trail is a forest trail planned and completed by the Forestry Bureau in 2005. It is located next to Jiaoxi Golf Course and has now become a popular scenic spot. This trail mainly presents the low-altitude forest ecosystem and the ‘tetragonal sandstone’ Shipan landscape. The trail is gentle, not long in route, and rich in diverse ferns. There are also stream waterfalls and other scenery along the way, attracting many tourists to come for an outing. The trail is built along the valley of Dezikou Creek. There are many large and small waterfalls along the way. The upper one is the Shipan Waterfall. The total length of the trail is about 1.7 kilometers. It is in a circular shape and can be completed within about an hour. Along the way, mountain palms and tree ferns are all over the mountains. After passing Caonan Pond, enter the Yuemei Keng waterfall group. Large waterfalls and small ponds are distributed among them, full of wild charm. There is a tea garden planted on top. Commanding a height, Fo Guang University and the Lanyang Campus of Tamkang University are close at hand. The scenery is beautiful and you can overlook Guishan Island and the Lanyang Plain. Open all year round and open all day.
