The Lubu Reservoir, which began construction in the 1950s, is situated at the foot of a village called Ganxi. For the local residents, the dam of the reservoir is a lifeline. The dam is quite majestic, being the second largest reservoir in Yuyao City, only after the Siming Lake Reservoir. The amount of earthwork involved in building the dam is astonishing.
Lubu Reservoir has two sources of water and two roads leading to Lishan, one to the east and one to the west. The western road along the lake remains busy, but the road, which is less than two kilometers long, has no fewer than twenty bends, making it inconvenient for driving and less wise for walking. Walking on the narrow paths, one can experience tranquility and freedom, with unexpected surprises from nature and a sense of peace akin to the legendary Peach Blossom Spring.

Gliding in wooden boats and floating amidst the bamboo sea, one passes by a tiny temple, views the painting of the door gods Guan Yu and Qin Qiong, and after turning a small bend, arrives at Zhengjia Village. The reservoir is open all day from January 1st to December 31st.
