The Lugang Longshan Temple has a simple and unsophisticated style

The Lugang Longshan Temple was built in the seventh year of Yongli in the Ming Zheng Dynasty (1653)
In 1786, it was relocated to its current location
In 1831, the original small temple was renovated and rebuilt many times
The important thing about the entire temple is its architecture and carvings
The spatial layout of four entrances and three courtyards, the painted stories of the octagonal caisson, the clay sculpture style, and the wood carving craftsmanship all reflect the artisans’ talents and efforts
Moreover, because a large ancient bell is hung in the temple, it is listed as one of the eight scenic spots in Lugang under the name of ‘Longshan Morning Bell’
The temple is divided into the mountain gate, the five-gate hall (including the stage), the main hall (including the worship hall), and the rear hall
