The Luojia Jiao Site is located 4 miles northeast of Shimen Town in Tongxiang City. Excavations were carried out in 1979 in conjunction with the basic construction of farmland.
The site is divided into four cultural layers, yielding a large number of pottery and stone tools, bone tools, and more. Pottery is predominantly gray-red, with an increase in red and gray-white pottery from bottom to top, and a decrease in black-gray pottery from bottom to top, along with a small quantity of exquisite white pottery. The pottery includes pots, jars, basins, plates, and盂, with distinctive features such as waist-rimmed pots and board-handled pots, and bone tools include clusters, plows, awls, spoons, and tubes. The decorations include impressed patterns, pierced designs, and incised patterns.

In each cultural layer, a large number of animal bones and plant fruits were unearthed, and rice was also found in the third and fourth layers. The site now covers an area of 120,000 square meters. Through excavations, it showcases the lives of the ancestors in the northern Zhejiang region about six to seven thousand years ago. The opening hours are subject to the daily operational status.
