The Lyceum Theatre on South Maoming Road was built in 1930. Adjacent to the Okura Garden Hotel, Jin Jiang Hotel and New Jin Jiang Grand Hotel, it has an elegant environment and convenient transportation. It is a renowned and veteran theater at home and abroad. Before liberation, the ‘Lyceum’ was managed by the Shanghai Amateur Dramatic Society Lyceum Theatre Trustees for British residents. It mainly presented programs such as dramas, music, song and dance, and traditional operas, and also showed movies. Opening hours: Open all year round from 09:00 to 19:00.
