Macau Grand Prix Museum

As the birthplace of the Macau Grand Prix, visitors will relive the extraordinary history of this unique racing event and experience the thrill and excitement of motorsports. The museum houses racing cars and motorcycles from decades of competition, telling the stories of drivers, teams, and legendary figures who have written glorious chapters in the history of the Macau Grand Prix since 1954. The museum, under the jurisdiction of the Macau Government Tourism Office, officially opened on June 1, 2021. The expanded museum now stands four stories tall, with a total construction area increased sixfold to approximately 16,000 square meters, offering visitors a comprehensive experience of knowledge, entertainment, leisure, and learning related to the Macau Grand Prix. The renovation project has been awarded the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certification for New Construction (Building Design and Construction). To further enhance the museum’s appeal and enrich visitors’ experiences, the Tourism Office has exhibited wax figures of eight renowned racers in the Macau Grand Prix Museum since March 27, 2023. Among the eight wax figures, five were specially made by Madame Tussauds for this collaboration, representing Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, and Fernando Alonso. The wax figures of Ayrton Senna, Lewis Hamilton, and Sebastian Vettel were recast. The museum is open all year round, from Monday, Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00-18:00; closed on Tuesdays. Children under 3 years old (including 3 years old) are admitted free of charge.
