This is an immersive garden live-action drama, presenting ‘Meet Gusu, Mudu’s Past’. The performance makes use of the real garden scenery of Yan Family Garden in Mudu according to local conditions. It fully integrates Suzhou’s local characteristics such as folk art forms, folk customs, costumes, and language. The drama performance also intersperses the form of ‘play within a play’. Through modern technologies such as 3D roaming of the ancient city, it presents an unstable and turbulent late Qing Dynasty and a Gusu family that rises and falls in Shanghai.
