The Mingchi National Forest Recreation Area features a lakeside walkway and pavilions, with the lakeside garden being the highlight of the visit. The area is divided into sections such as Ciyuan, Jingshi Garden, and Zang Garden. It boasts a 150-meter artificial lake situated at a high altitude, surrounded by dense primeval forests, with year-round misty clouds and enchanting scenery, earning it the reputation of ‘Pearl of the Northern Cross-Island Highway’. Mingchi serves as the watershed between Gaoganxi and Lanyangxi rivers and is also the highest point on the Northern Cross-Island Highway. The area is open to visitors from 8:00 to 16:30 all year round.
