Nanqiang Ecological Civilization Village is one of the two ecological civilization demonstration villages in the Boao New District after the Asia Forum settled in Boao. Entering Nanqiang Village, you will find the farmhouses well-arranged, deep courtyards, coconut trees providing shade, golden rice, tender green melon vines, and fruitful areca nuts, longans, lychees, and bananas. What a captivating picture of the southern folk customs that one would linger over.
Following the village’s forest paths, you can admire the historical solid wells, legendary love stories, and century-old trees. Climbing to the village’s hilltop viewing platform, you can take in the tropical countryside, the permanent venue of the Boao Forum for Asia, the Boao Golf and Country Club, the Golden Coast Hot Spring Hotel, the Blue Coast Villa area, as well as the Wanquan River, Yuda Beach, and the vast azure waves of the South China Sea.
If you’re tired, simply greet the villagers and you can enjoy the cool sea breeze at a farmhouse while savoring the green food and specialty dishes of the local farmers. The village is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
