Nanshan Guanyin Statue on the Sea

The Nanshan Sea Guanyin is a 108-meter-high holy statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. It is located on the Vajra Continent (Guanyin Island) on the sea in front of Nanshan Temple. The holy statue is in the integrated three-statue shape of the upright Avalokitesvara, stepping on a lotus throne with 108 petals. The precious appearance is solemn and majestic. The Sea Guanyin is a famous Buddhist building in Sanya and also a famous blessing place. Under the lotus throne of the Sea Guanyin is the Vajra Platform. Inside the Vajra Platform is the Yuantong Treasure Hall with an area of 15,000 square meters. The Vajra Continent is connected to the land by the Puji Bridge with a length of 280 meters. You can take the scenic area battery car or choose to walk within the scenic area to reach it. The battery car is at the next stop after the Thirty-Three Guanyin Hall. If you walk, after passing Nanshan Temple and walking about 1 kilometer to the left after passing the elephant stone carving, you will see the 108-meter Sea Guanyin.


The opening hours are from 08:00 to 17:00 all year round.
