Nanxiang Old Street, officially known as the Shuangta Historical and Cultural Scenic Area announced by the municipal government, is located in the heart of the ancient town of Nanxiang, covering a planned area of 143,400 square meters. It encompasses four streets: Renmin Street, Gonghe Street, Jiefang Street, and Shengli Street, which have traditionally served as commercial and residential areas. After restoration, the historical charm of the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, known as ‘Silver Nanxiang,’ has been revived. The area features whitewashed walls and black tiles, with houses of varying heights and sizes, numerous shops, small bridges, flowing water, long corridors, and art shops, each preserving their unique charm. It is open all year round, 24 hours a day. The specific business status is subject to the day’s opening conditions.
