The National Palace Museum Southern Branch was established to stimulate the cultural, educational, social, and economic development of the central and southern regions, and is positioned as the ‘Asian Art and Culture Museum’
The museum’s construction project is managed by the Construction and Planning Agency, while the curation focuses on the museum’s extensive collection, supplemented by international loans, actively planning various exciting exhibitions to fulfill the modern museum’s functions of collection, research, preservation, education, display, entertainment, leisure, and cultural creativity
The museum is open Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 all year round; and on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 18:00
Preferential policies for children include free admission to those under 18 years old at the National Palace Museum; and free admission to those under 115 cm at 101
