Nishi Honganji Square, originally known as the Western Branch of the Honganji Temple in Japan, is an architectural complex steeped in Japanese ambiance. The majority of the main buildings exhibit a style that draws heavily from the eclectic designs commonly found in Japanese Buddhism during the 18th and 19th centuries. The main hall, the imperial temple, the storehouse, and the bell tower are essentially all in an eclectic style, while the Rōhōsho is in the traditional Japanese residential form. The site is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
