The island boasts abundant resources and a unique environment, particularly famous for its oyster production, hence the name Oyster Shoal Mountain. Local fishermen refer to it as the Oyster Shoal Pile. Oyster Shoal Mountain is an oyster reef that emerges in a vast area of mud, while biological reefs typically grow on stones, water gates, and other hydraulic structures. The emergence of such a reef in the mud is unprecedented and unheard of, with no records in relevant scientific literature. Experts believe that this puzzling marine phenomenon provides a rare opportunity to study the changes in the mid-latitude ancient oceans over the past twenty thousand years, leaving many mysteries for the world and warranting in-depth research. It offers immense value for the development and popularization of marine science knowledge, exploration of marine geology, climate, biological changes, and eco-tourism. The park is open year-round from 08:30 to 17:30, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening conditions.
