Panlong Temple

Panlong Temple was built in the Ming Dynasty. It is named after the terrain of Huangxian Village, which is like ‘a dragon coiling and a tiger crouching’. For hundreds of years, the temple has been a famous temple along the eastern coast of Fenghua, with prosperous incense. Panlong Temple is located in the hinterland of Huangxian Village, surrounded by mountains on three sides and close to water on one side, like a coiling dragon. The compound stone memorial archway in front of the temple is magnificent and rare in eastern Zhejiang. The temple is also one of the main scenic spots in Huangxian Forest Park tourist area. Panlong Temple has always been a Buddhist holy land with many monks and prosperous incense. As early as 300 years ago, it was the Buddhist cultural center in eastern Fenghua. It was destroyed in the war before liberation. Now it is rebuilt in a different place with a more grand scale, covering an area of more than 5,000 square meters. The bell rings from the quiet valley from time to time, adding a sense of tranquility and harmony to the ancient cultural village.
