Phoenix Island is located at the southeastern end of Sanya Bay. It is an artificial island reclaimed from the reefs in the sea. The five hotel buildings on the island are magnificent and avant-garde, forming a beautiful scenic line on the sea. There are good hotels, an international yacht club and an international cruise port on the island. It is known as the Dubai of the East and a paradise for seaside vacations. Phoenix Island is surrounded by the sea on all sides. It is connected to Guangming Road, Binhai Avenue in the urban area by a cross-sea sightseeing bridge 394 meters long and 17 meters wide. The south side is adjacent to Luhuitou Park. The southeast side is adjacent to the estuary of Sanya River. The north side is close to the beautiful 17-kilometer-long Sanya Bay beach. Here, on three sides, there are mountain views. It has unique tourism scenery of mountains, seas and skies, and has the conditions for marine entertainment, water sports and all-season holiday tourism. On Phoenix Island, there is an Olympic Park built to commemorate Sanya, the first city in the Chinese mainland to pass the Olympic flame. There is also the largest and most active international yacht club in Southeast Asia. There is a full-sea-view villa area comparable to Long Island in Manhattan, New York. There is also a marine tropical commercial street that gathers many of the world’s best brands. In addition, there is an excellent hotel (including the hotel and an international conference center), an international convalescence and vacation center (i.e., five property right hotels) and Phoenix Island International Cruise Port.
