Port Authority

The Port Authority building, originally known as Moore Barracks, was later changed to the office location of the Shipping Administration and the Naval Patrol Station (today’s Port Authority), so it is commonly known as the Naval Factory. The European-style building with yellow and white as the main colors is neat and full of rhythm. The long Arabian-style corridor is quite beautiful. The Port Authority building is built on a platform surrounded by granite. Except for the central part of the building which is two stories high, about 6.6 meters, other places are all one-story designs. The whole building is painted yellow and set off by white patterns. It forms a strong contrast in color and texture with the rough granite wall foundation. Except on the side near Mount Barra, the building is surrounded by a corridor about 4 meters wide on three sides, with Islamic pointed arch vouchers. The trifoliate ornaments are dotted between the pointed arches. In addition, the crenellated square spires on the parapet are arranged rhythmically, forming a strong sense of rhythm. Opening hours: Open all year round from 9:00 to 18:00.
