Qingshui Cliffs, situated between Heping and Chongde, is a remarkable spectacle on the eastern coast of Taiwan and is renowned as one of Taiwan’s eight major scenic spots. Towering over a thousand meters high, the cliffs drop almost vertically into the Pacific Ocean, with a winding road stretching over 20 kilometers along the edge. The route is characterized by steep cliffs on one side and the vast ocean on the other, presenting a formidable and ever-changing landscape that is both thrilling and awe-inspiring. Alongside the Chongde Tunnel on the Suhua Highway, there are trails leading to two observation platforms that offer panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the scenic beauty of the QingShui Cliffs. En route, you can also explore various scenic spots such as Northern Ao, Southern Ao, and Wushi Nose. The site is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day, although specific operating conditions are subject to daily opening status.
