The planned area of the Fruit Expo Center is about 30,000 mu. It is developed in three phases with a total investment of 3.4 billion yuan. The planned area of the first phase is 1,053 mu. As of now, the construction of the core area of the first phase of the project has been basically completed. The original Baoting Botanical Garden has been transformed into a comprehensive cultural and tourism destination integrating popular science, scientific research, production, and sightseeing. The planned area of the second phase is about 4,000 mu, which is an introduction and planting demonstration area and tourism supporting facilities. The planned area of the third phase is about 26,000 mu, which is an extended area for promotion and planting. In the core area of the first phase, a total of 72 species of tropical fruit trees of 25 families and 49 genera at the same latitude have been collected and protected, with a total of 164 varieties. In addition, economic forest and grass plants of 126 species of 105 genera and 43 families have also been collected and protected. Open all year round from 09:00 to 18:00.
