Ri Xing Type Foundry possesses a collection of traditional lead type copper molds for complex Chinese characters, maintaining three Chinese typefaces (Kai, Song, Heiti) and seven sizes (from Chuhao to Liuhao), with over ten thousand characters for each, totaling nearly 300,000 different character shapes. As computer typesetting technology becomes widespread, traditional letterpress printing is gradually fading from the historical stage. However, the owner of Ri Xing Type Foundry, Zhang Jie Guan, strives to continue this ancient traditional culture. Open all year round on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
