San Mao’s ancestral home was built in 1921 by the grandfather of the renowned female writer San Mao, Mr. Chen Zongxu. The five main rooms of the ancestral home have been converted into a San Mao Memorial Room, featuring themes such as ‘A Life Full of Legendary Stories’, ‘San Mao’s Works that Charmed the World’, ‘Travels Through Mountains and Rivers’, ‘Family, Love, Friendship, and Hometown Sentiments’, and ‘Missing You! San Mao’. The exhibits display San Mao’s relics, works in various editions, photographs from different periods, and articles by people from both China and abroad commemorating San Mao. Many of the precious exhibits on display in the exhibition hall exude San Mao’s strong feelings of homesickness and patriotism.

The opening hours are 08:00-16:30 all year round.
