The DuoBao Lecture Temple in Shangyu, a branch of the Sanmen DuoBao Lecture Temple, is located in the Longshan Mountain recess of BaiGuan Town, facing the Cao’e River. The temple, which covers an area of only thirty-seven acres, is meticulously planned with four main halls arranged along the central axis. These are: the Mountain Gate (which also serves as the Maitreya Hall and the Dharma Protector Hall), the Mahavira Hall, the Master’s Hall (including the Medicine Buddha Hall and the Sutra Recitation Hall), and the Sutra Repository Pavilion. The side wings house the monks’ quarters (including the Abbot’s building), guest rooms, dining hall, and the bell and drum towers. The temple has been designated as a provincial key open temple. It is open to the public from 8:00 to 17:00 all year round.
