Sheba National Park features significant temperature variations and magnificent alpine stream landscapes. The park extends from the Da’anxi River Valley at an elevation of 760 meters to the main peak of Xueshan at 3886 meters, with a vertical drop of over 3000 meters. The park is rich in natural resources. The park’s boundaries are defined by the river valleys and ridges of the Xueshan Mountain Range, starting from Luoyewu Mountain in the east, extending to Dongxi Shui Mountain in the west, reaching Yu Luowei Mountain in the south, and ending at the boundary mountain in the north. The total area of the park is approximately 76,850 hectares, encompassing the Guanwu Recreation Area (Wufen Township and Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County), Xuejian Recreation Area (Tai’an Township, Miaoli County), and Wuling Recreation Area (He Ping District, Taichung City), with Xueshan and Da Bajian Mountain as the main axis. Within Sheba National Park, there are as many as 51 high mountain peaks, making it a national park of the mountainous type. The park is open all year round from 09:00 to 17:00.
