Shi Ba Jian Mountain

Shi Ba Jian Mountain is located in the East District of Hsinchu City and is a forest park developed by the local authorities. The park is shaped like a crescent, stretching approximately 7 to 8 miles, and it gracefully encloses the eastern and southern suburbs of Hsinchu City. The name originates from the eighteen gentle peaks that form a hilly area. The higher point of Shi Ba Jian Mountain is near the Jie Shou Pavilion, with an elevation of about 128 meters. From the summit of Shi Ba Jian Mountain, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the city streets of Hsinchu to the northwest, with Touqian and Fengshan creeks on the right, the local strait directly in front, and the Dabajian Mountain and Qingquan Five Fingers mountain range to the southeast, with Touqian Creek flowing from the Zhudong direction, offering an excellent view. The park is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
