Located in the southwest of Shengzhou City, Shi Jia Ao Village in Ganlin Town is approximately 9 kilometers away from the city center. It is a small southern village with the charm of blue bricks and gray tiles, and a picturesque mountain village with bamboo rafts floating in the river. This small Shi Jia Ao has written an important chapter in the history of Yue Opera: the birthplace of female Yue Opera, hence it is honored as the ‘hometown of female Yue Opera’. To the south lies the Tianzi Mountain, in the middle is the ancient village of Shi Jia Ao, and most areas to the south of the village are farmlands. The Chengtan River (ancient name Shan Creek) traverses from east to west, with the mountains and waters reflecting each other, creating a beautiful landscape as if painted. The village enjoys a superior geographical location with very convenient transportation. It is surrounded by mountains and water, with beautiful scenery.
Shi Jia Ao Village makes full use of its status as the birthplace of female Yue Opera, the origin of stone culture, and its superior natural resources. It takes Yue Opera as a breakthrough, renovates the ‘Sheng Wu Hall’, and rebuilds the ‘Bagua Tai Men’.
