Shi Qiu Ling Fort is located to the south of Keelung Harbor and is a designated historical site in Keelung City

The construction began in the 10th year of the Guangxu period (1884), and it is said that Qing Dynasty’s coastal defense commissioner Liu Mingchuan, in order to strengthen coastal defense against French invasion, hired British technicians to build it
As a fort with a relatively high terrain within the Keelung port area, Shi Qiu Ling Fort played a defensive role in both the Sino-French War and the Jiawu War
