It borders the Di Tang City River to the south, the Xie Qiao River to the west, and is backed by the Ou River to the north. Covering an area of over 2700 square meters, Shijian Hall is a profound courtyard, regarded as a ‘grand mansion’ in the Jiangnan water towns. The deep residence consists of six sections with high walls, with the ground gradually rising from the first to the sixth section, and the six horse-head walls also increasing in height in sequence, symbolizing the auspicious wish of ‘rising step by step’. Facing north to south and surrounded by rivers, Shijian Hall offers convenient water and land access, with the ability to board a sedan chair at the front gate and a boat at the back gate.

In the 420 square meter garden, there are pavilions, waterside pavilions, and winding corridors, all meticulously arranged, making it a small but exquisite Jiangnan garden. Opening hours are from 08:30 to 16:30 all year round.
