The streams of Shuangliu National Forest Recreation Area are its distinctive feature, located at the confluence of the two major tributaries upstream of Fenggang Creek along the Nanhui Highway, hence the name
Shuangliu Waterfall stands at approximately 25 meters high with an abundant water flow, creating a thunderous sound as the white water cascades down, resembling a veil and presenting a spectacular view that is truly awe-inspiring
The trail from the entrance area to the waterfall area follows the stream, offering beautiful scenery along the way
If you feel tired, there are rest seats and rain shelters (rest pavilions) available for a break
Maozi Mountain, the highest point here, is approximately 650 meters above sea level with a broad view that encompasses the surrounding mountains and offers a distant view of the Pacific Ocean and the Taiwan Strait
Walking through the tranquil forest trails, one can breathe in the natural oxygen and enjoy a moment of coolness and leisure while sitting on the stone chairs in the pavilions
Along the way, you can also experience the joys of butterfly watching, wading in streams, and playing in the water
Additionally, there are historical stone houses to visit
The area is open year-round from 08:00 to 17:00
To prevent forest fires, camping, barbecues, and other cooking activities are strictly prohibited within the area, and caution with fire is advised
