The Swan Lake Animal Base is a modern ecological park integrating rare animal breeding and reproduction as well as tourism. The park is located in Guilingyang Development Zone, Haikou City, beside Guilingyang Avenue. It is composed of Swan Lake, an island and a peninsula. The Swan Lake Animal Base covers a total area of 120 mu. There are more than 80 kinds of animals, and 90% of the animals are introduced from abroad. They are high-level and second-class precious protected animals. Large waterfowl with swans as the main body are freely raised on Swan Lake. There are seven kinds of swans here, including mute swans (originating from Europe), black-necked swans (originating from South America), black swans (originating from Australia), whooper swans and tundra swans (Asia), coscoroba swans (originating from America) and trumpeter swans (originating from North America). Multiple kinds of swans are a rare sight. The island and peninsula are divided into lemur island, tortoise world, flamingo valley, parrot world, meerkat otter capybara area, alpaca pony zebra area, and the bird world centered on scarlet ibis, glossy ibis, and roseate spoonbill. Here, you can interact closely with freely raised small animals.
