The Botanical Garden in Taichung is primarily divided into two main sections: the Tropical Rainforest Greenhouse and the Outdoor Display Area of Low-Altitude Plant Ecologies from Various Parts of Taiwan
The garden primarily showcases native plants of Taiwan Island
Visitors can not only admire a variety of interesting plants but also take leisurely strolls, making it an ideal place for relaxation
Covering an area of approximately 4
5 hectares, the botanical garden focuses on the distinctive low-altitude ecosystems of Taiwan and tropical rainforests as its main themes
It carefully selects and examines several representative ecological areas of Taiwan’s native flora for landscaping
The entire garden, including the greenhouse, houses over 800 species of plants, and visitors can witness different plants blooming in different seasons
The total building height is about 40 meters, emulating the environmental characteristics of tropical rainforests and displaying many plants for both utility and ornamental purposes
The garden is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:00; closed all day on Mondays
