The Former Beihai Customs Building is located within the Beihai Customs Yard, originally constructed in 1883. It is a three-story Western-style square building with each side measuring approximately eighteen meters.

In 1994, the Former Beihai Customs Building was designated as a cultural relics protection unit at the autonomous region level in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The building has an area of one thousand square meters, with a sloping roof, a surrounding terrace, and corridors on each floor. It features indoor fireplaces, and there is an inverted ‘T’ shaped staircase outside the building leading to the second floor on the southern side.
