Commonly known as ‘long underwear’ – The Gate of the Orient has become a new internet-famous landmark for checking in in Suzhou. It is located at the eastern end of the CBD axis of Suzhou Industrial Park, bordering Xingang Street and Jinji Lake on the east. The aerial garden on the top floor of the building is an open ‘greenhouse space’ enclosed by a unique arched glass curtain wall system on the top. It is designed as two sets of presidential suites in northern and southern Chinese classical styles. Combining modern and classical styles, it is very design-oriented. If you want to take a panoramic view of the Gate of the Orient, Moonlight Pier is a good photography spot. Open all year round and all day long.
