Located outside Dongdu Gate, the Tianfei Palace is situated at the triangular junction of Jiangxia Street and Dongdu Road in Haishu District. Originally located in the area of today’s Hualian Mall, the official name during its last renovation was ‘Ningbo Mansion Lingci Palace’. Commonly known as ‘Tianfei Palace’, it is also referred to as ‘Old Tianfei Palace’. It was first constructed in the second year of the Shaoxing era of the Southern Song Dynasty by the Fujian Putian shipowner Shen Fayun. The site is open all year round and accessible twenty-four hours a day.
