Tong’an Bridge is located in the eastern section of West Street in Wuzhen. It spans the Xishi River. To the south, it is connected to Xuchang Sauce Garden. To the north, it is adjacent to Tong’an Inn. Tong’an Bridge is a single-arch circular arch stone bridge. The initial construction date is impossible to trace. According to local chronicles, it was rebuilt during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. The bridge is 16.4 meters long in total, with a clear span of 8.8 meters and a deck width of 3.2 meters. Originally named Tong’an Bridge, it is commonly known as Fang Bridge. By taking its homophonic sound, it is also called Feng Bridge and Fengqiao. Open all year round and open all day.
